Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry Pinwheels
Ingredients
Frozen puff pastry – 2 sheets (17.3 oz package), thawed
Dijon mustard – 3 tbsp, divided
Deli ham – 12 slices, thinly sliced
Gruyère or sharp cheddar – 2 cups, grated
Fresh parsley – 2 tbsp, chopped
Instructions
Prepare the Pastry
Place one sheet of puff pastry on a clean surface and roll it into a rectangle (about 10×12 inches).
Add the Filling
Spread about half of the Dijon mustard over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges. Layer half of the ham slices on top, slightly overlapping, then sprinkle with half of the cheese.
Roll and Chill
Roll the pastry tightly from the long side to form a log. Trim the ends, wrap it, and refrigerate for about 20 minutes. Repeat with the second sheet and remaining ingredients.
Slice and Bake
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper. Slice each log into ½-inch rounds and place them cut-side up, spacing them slightly apart. Bake for about 18 minutes, or until puffed and golden.
Finish and Serve
Sprinkle with chopped parsley right after baking and serve warm.
Tips & Variations
Try Swiss or provolone cheese for a different flavor.
Swap parsley for chives or thyme if you prefer.
Serve with a mustard dip or honey mustard sauce for extra flavor.
