Oven-Baked 3-Ingredient Potato Ring Mold

Some dishes have a way of drawing everyone’s attention the moment they reach the table, and this Potato Ring Mold is certainly one of them. Made with just three simple ingredients, it transforms everyday potatoes into a golden, comforting dish that’s both elegant and delicious.

In our family, my mother-in-law served this dish every Easter. She would bring it to the table on a white platter, perfectly golden and beautifully shaped, and there was always a moment of admiration before anyone took the first spoonful.

The beauty of this recipe lies in its simplicity. Creamy on the inside and crisp on the outside, it pairs wonderfully with roasted meats, vegetables, or any holiday meal.

Oven-Baked 3-Ingredient Potato Ring Mold

Ingredients

IngredientAmountNotes
Potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks2 lbs (900g)
Parmesan cheese, grated1 cup
Eggs2 large

Optional Seasonings: Salt, black pepper, garlic powder

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Potato masher or ricer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Ring mold or Bundt pan
  • Nonstick cooking spray or butter

Directions

Cook the Potatoes
Place the potato chunks in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until fork-tender. Drain well and allow them to sit for a few minutes to release excess moisture.

Mash the Potatoes
Mash the potatoes until smooth. Let them cool slightly before adding the eggs to prevent them from cooking.

Combine the Ingredients
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and eggs until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Season with salt, pepper, or garlic powder if desired.

Prepare the Mold
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Thoroughly grease a ring mold or Bundt pan. Spoon the potato mixture into the prepared pan, pressing gently to remove air pockets and smoothing the top.

Bake
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are crisp.

Rest
Allow the potato ring to rest for 10 minutes before unmolding. This helps it hold its shape.

Serve
Carefully invert the mold onto a serving platter and serve warm.

This simple yet elegant potato ring is proof that a few basic ingredients can create a truly memorable dish.
