Breakfast Pastry Pinwheels

These Baked Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Pinwheels are a tasty, fuss-free option for breakfast or brunch. Flaky puff pastry wraps around a savory mix of scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and melted cheese, creating bite-sized treats that everyone will love.

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven
Set the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the puff pastry
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry to smooth out any creases.

3. Make the egg mixture
In a bowl, whisk together the scrambled eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.

4. Assemble the pinwheels

  • Spread the egg mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Sprinkle with crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Roll the pastry tightly into a log, starting from one of the longer sides.
  • Slice the log into 1-inch pinwheels and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.

5. Brush with egg wash
Brush the tops of the pinwheels with the beaten egg.

6. Bake
Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.

7. Cool and serve
Allow the pinwheels to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped chives if desired.
