These Crispy Everything Bagel Bites are a smart, no-waste way to turn leftover bread into a crunchy, flavorful snack. By cutting plain or seasoned bagels into small cubes and tossing them with a bit of olive oil and everything bagel seasoning, you get homemade croutons that easily beat store-bought ones. The thick, chewy texture of bagels holds up well in a 375°F oven, giving you a crisp, golden outside with a firm, satisfying bite inside.

Crispy Everything Bagel Bites

Ingredients:

  • 2 bagels (plain or everything), cut into cubes
  • 2–3 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Set your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to keep the seasoning from sticking or burning.

Step 2: Cube the Bagels
Slice the bagels into even ½-inch cubes.

Tip: Slightly stale bagels work best—they’re drier, so they crisp up faster and keep their shape better when mixed.

Step 3: Add Seasoning
Place the cubes in a bowl, drizzle with oil, and toss until evenly coated. Sprinkle the seasoning over the top and toss again so everything sticks well.

Step 4: Bake Until Golden
Spread the cubes in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Tip: Keep an eye on them after 10 minutes—ingredients like garlic and onion can burn quickly.

Step 5: Let Them Cool
Take them out of the oven and let them cool completely on the pan. They’ll continue to crisp up as they cool, giving you that perfect crunch.
