Meet Yazemeenah Rossi, the 69-year-old hailed as the “world’s most beautiful grandmother”

I have so much admiration for people who prove that age is just a number.
Whether someone climbs mountains, cycles, or even plays video games, it’s inspiring to see older adults challenging the idea that age should limit what we do.
One perfect example is Yazemeenah Rossi, often called “the world’s most beautiful grandmother.” Born on December 21, 1955, in Corsica, France, she has graced magazine covers worldwide. You may have seen her in campaigns or ads without even realizing her identity—or her age.
Yazemeenah has also acted in films like Timeless Beauty, Relevator, and The Grasslands. Unlike most models who start in their teens, she began modeling in her 30s—an age when most models are retiring. Her career breakthrough came quickly, defying industry norms.
“When women support each other, incredible things happen,” she says.
The Secret to Her Beauty and Energy
Even while raising two children at 20, managing home projects, and working with private clients, Yazemeenah stayed active and independent.
“I knew since my teens that I would never work in an office or stay in one place all my life,” she explained in 2020.
Despite decades in modeling, she notes the industry still prioritizes youth.
“I hoped we’d see more older models, but that hasn’t really happened. Men and women alike worry about aging. Nobody likes seeing their skin sag. But growing older is beautiful—you gain strength with time.”
For her, age is a state of mind.
“If you stay connected to your inner child, you recharge your energy. You need a playful, curious, and adventurous spirit. There are no real ‘magic tricks’ to staying youthful.”
Contrary to popular belief, many assume she’s had cosmetic surgery.
“I haven’t had any. I see no reason to go under the knife when I’m healthy,” she says.
Yazemeenah credits her natural glow to simple habits: applying oils to skin and hair, scrubbing with olive oil and sugar weekly, and eating a balanced diet of avocado, organic meat, and fish.
A Lifelong Passion
In December 2025, Yazemeenah will turn 70—but she has no plans to slow down.
“I will model until the end of my life. But it’s not about modeling—it’s about witnessing. Witnessing beauty and energy makes us alive.”
She reminds older women to be proud of their bodies. Every stage of life has its own beauty and significance. Embracing your body is a stand against ageism, a celebration of your journey, and a declaration of self-worth.
