- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed tomato soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 cups cooked egg noodles
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. - Cook the meat
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat. - Add onion and garlic
Stir in the chopped onion and garlic, cooking for 3–4 minutes until softened and fragrant. - Make the sauce
In a saucepan, combine both soups, milk, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Heat and stir until smooth and warmed through. - Layer everything
In the baking dish, add half the noodles, followed by half the meat mixture, half the peas, and half the sauce. Repeat the layers once more. - Top it off
Sprinkle cheese evenly over the top. Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and scatter over the cheese. - Bake
Bake for 25–30 minutes, until hot, bubbly, and golden on top. Broil briefly at the end if you want extra crispiness. - Serve
Let it sit a few minutes before serving. It’s great on its own or with a simple salad or veggies on the side.
