Cinnamon Donut Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Topping:

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Pour in the milk and mix until smooth.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until combined.
  6. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Mix the topping ingredients and sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
