Garlic Butter Lobster Tails

Lobster tails might seem like something you only order at a restaurant, but they’re actually quite easy to make at home. This low-carb garlic butter version highlights the naturally sweet, delicate flavor of lobster while keeping the preparation simple and approachable. Whether you’re planning a special dinner or just want to elevate a regular evening, this dish brings a touch of elegance to the table without much effort.
Pair with a fresh green salad or steamed asparagus for a lighter meal, or serve alongside cauliflower mash or roasted Brussels sprouts for something more filling. A chilled glass of Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc complements the flavors beautifully.
Garlic Butter Lobster Tails
Ingredients
- 2 lobster tails (fresh or thawed if frozen)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
Directions
1. Prepare the Lobster
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Using kitchen shears, cut along the top of each lobster shell down the center, stopping before the tail. Gently open the shell and lift the meat so it rests on top.
2. Make the Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
3. Bake
Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet and brush generously with the garlic butter mixture. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and fully cooked.
4. Serve
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve right away with extra lemon if desired.
This recipe shows that a simple approach can still feel special—just a few ingredients come together for a flavorful, elegant dish.
