My church ladies insisted I bring this again to the spring potluck. I still can’t believe it only takes 3 ingredients

This Southern 3-Ingredient Blueberry Cobbler is a classic dump-style dessert that turns simple pantry ingredients into a warm, bubbling treat. As it bakes, melted butter works its way through the dry cake mix, creating a golden, biscuit-like topping with crisp edges and soft, tender spots. Underneath, the blueberry filling becomes thick and jammy, making every bite rich, fruity, and buttery with almost no prep required.
Southern 3-Ingredient Blueberry Cobbler
Ingredients:
- 2 cans (21 oz each) blueberry pie filling
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix (dry)
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
Directions:
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread blueberry pie filling evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 2:
Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit layer. Do not stir.
Tip: Keeping the layers separate helps the cake mix bake into a crisp, cobbler-style topping instead of turning soggy.
Step 3:
Drizzle melted butter evenly over the entire surface, covering as much of the dry mix as possible.
Tip: Make sure to hit the edges so everything bakes evenly and turns golden.
Step 4:
Bake for 40–50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling around the edges.
Step 5:
Let rest for 15–20 minutes before serving so the filling can thicken.
Once set, it scoops up thick, warm, and jammy with a buttery, golden crust on top.
