Rice Krispie Chocolate Chip Cookies

This recipe gives a fun twist to classic chocolate chip cookies by adding rolled oats and crispy rice cereal for a mix of chewy and crunchy textures in every bite.
Rice Krispie Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups Rice Krispie cereal
- 1–2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Set aside.
Step 3: Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
Step 4: Add Eggs and Vanilla
Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth and fully combined.
Step 5: Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Step 6: Add Mix-Ins
Fold in the oats, Rice Krispie cereal, and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Step 7: Shape and Bake
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each. Bake for 9–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Step 8: Cool and Serve
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
